Eliminating haphazard E-bike parking in Kew

Residents will have noticed that increasing numbers of people are using e-bikes on their
journeys around Kew. Of course, this is great for us all from an air pollution perspective.
However, while Forest and River bikes can’t park up in Kew because they don’t have an
agreement with the Council, Lime Bikes are regularly found parked here and there.

And it’s the “here and there” that we’re all concerned about. We can make Kew more
people friendly by parking e-bikes sensibly so that they don’t cause danger and
inconvenience to pedestrians, emergency services and local businesses.

This means parking your Lime Bike in one of the designated e-bike bays by the station or off to one side
elsewhere and not in the middle of the pavement, on a pedestrian crossing or across someone’s driveway.

The good news is that most Lime Bike users are considerate and don’t just dump their bike
inconsiderately before sprinting off for their train. But should you see a Lime Bike parked
incorrectly, you can either report them through the Lime app, by emailing:

London-ops@li.me, or by clicking this link

Together we can make Kew accessible to all.

Thank you, The Kew Soc
