Kew Society objects to planning application for Grovewood Flats
The Kew Society objected to a recent planning application 25/0010/FUL for the addition of two new floors to the existing six storey Grovewood block of flats off Sandycombe Road, Kew.

Our objection was based primarily on the grounds of the excessive height and the external design of the two additional proposed floors, which would be wholly inappropriate in an area of predominantly low-rise buildings and immediately adjacent to the Kew Gardens Conservation Area. We are pleased to report that the application has been withdrawn and will keep a watchful eye on future proposals, should they emerge.
