Kew Society AGM 2024
Wednesday 16th October | 6:45pm - 9:00pm
To all members,
Please join us at The National Archives for our Annual General Meeting.
Doors open at 6.45pm – AGM starts at 7pm.
You can find the agenda and the Accounts and Trustees report in here
After the formal AGM business, there will be a short break for complimentary refreshments.
At 8.15pm, The Kew Society is delighted to welcome Jason Debney of The Thames Landscape Strategy.
Jason returns to update us on TLS projects including measures to make the floodplain resilient to climate change whilst retaining the character that is special to our stretch of the river.
The Thames is changing – flood risk is increasing, and measures need to be put in place to set out how London will be protected in the future. To inform this work, the Thames Landscape Strategy has been funded to update its 100-vision for the Thames (alongside an update of the Thames Strategy Kew to Chelsea and the Thames Strategy East) in a new initiative called the Joint Thames Strategy.
The evening ends at approx. 9.00pm
