Message of condolence for Diana Ormond

It is with great sadness that we write to tell you about the sudden loss of a much loved member of our team, Diana Ormond, our Honorary Secretary, who died last week. It was a great shock to all of us and we, along with many other people in Kew, will really miss her.  She was a genuinely kind and caring individual who made a huge contribution to the local community.

Diana OrmondAs a member of our team, she was always a quiet and thoughtful presence, making intelligent and constructive interventions to meetings in addition to recording our discussions and decisions. Her draft minutes of our AGM were in our inboxes when we received the news of her departure from this life.  It is impossible to comprehend that she is no longer with us.

In addition to her formal role, Diana would always volunteer to help with our other activities and especially enjoyed being at our stall at local events, meeting members and visitors alike.  She was a real ‘people person’ and we miss her greatly.

We will include a full tribute to Diana in our winter newsletter and would appreciate any of your memories of her.

Our condolences and sympathy go to her family and all her friends.

Shiona and Trevor
