125th Anniversay Competion and Exhibition

Please let us know what you love about Kew!

This is a chance to win a competition to have your creation on display at The National Archives in an exhibition to celebrate the Kew Society’s125th Anniversary which is due to open in October 2026!

You can send us a poem, an essay, a painting, a knitting, a model you have built, or a photo or any other medium with words and/or images showing us what you love about  Kew! We can accept all mediums except video. The choice is yours!

Please do not use AI for your contribution. Also to comply with the GDPR policy of The National Archives please do not show any recognisable faces of living people within your entry.

Entries are invited for each of the following age groups:

  • 3-11 yrs
  • 12-17 yrs
  • 18 and up!

The competition is open to members of the Kew Society only, or if you are under 18 you must be a relative of a member.

All submissions must be the ORIGINAL work of the entrant, dated and signed. Please also state your age group, address and contact details.

In the first instance please send us photos of your entry to 125@kewsociety.org. When shortlisted, we may ask you to send us your contribution.

Closing date for entries is by 12 noon 30 September 2026. Entries received after this date/time will not be considered. The decision of the judges will be final. We will take all reasonable efforts to return contributions.

Entrants agree that their winning entry can be displayed at The National Archives until the end of the Kew Society’s 125 Anniversary Exhibition, expected to be early 2027, and on social media and in print media.
