Kew Society’s Environment Trustee Dr Sarah Clarke attended the official opening ceremony on 8 November 2025, which marked the restoration of a much loved route from Richmond to Kew.  Together with key partners in the project, council representatives, the Deputy Mayor Cllr Clare Vollum and members of environmental, walking and cycling groups, Dr Clarke heard how the project was one of the most technically challenging riverbank repairs Richmond Council have undertaken, with tides and terrain testing project managers and engineering teams alike.  You can read about the details here.

The river runs through the heart of our borough and The Kew Society, on behalf of its members, extends its congratulations to all involved in this successful restoration project; it is a model of collaboration, cooperation and technical know how.
