Kew Society members were treated to an exclusive after hours tour of Kew Palace and the recently renovated Kitchens. The Kitchens, until recently, have lain untouched since Queen Charlotte's death in 1818 and are now open to the public. Our tour guides, kindly supplied by Historic Royal Palaces, were fascinating and brought the tour to life with interesting facts and tales of life within the Palace around the time of 1804.
Our sincere thanks go to Jonny Scott and his team at the Historic Royal Palaces and to Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew for organising an excellent evening.
